I got a hint (they had a trail guide sign posted by the cross) that it would be easier to keep going, rather than turn back. I would be heading down the other side of the mountain. I decided to try my luck. Interestingly, this means I was headed to Austria! I was glad I alway keep my passport with me. At this point, it was a LONG hike if I had to turn around…
