Lucky for me, it wasn't very much further to a cable car and I could ride down. While descending, I had this view for a few seconds. I snapped a quick pic with my iPhone which was a gen1 back then. They've come a long way since, but this pic shows what the camera lacked back then compared to my digital SLR I was using for the rest of my shots. But the SLR was back in my bag and had to snap one quickly. In the end I really liked the final look and mood of the rays shining down on the Neuschwanstein Castle. You can kind of get a feel for how far I hiked that day, but it doesn't totally due it justice either. ;)
