Adjusting these retro seventies watch bands…

Who knew you could pry these things apart, pull the “staples”, and remove the “links” to make them fit better.  Back in the day you could buy them in different lengths, but you were kind of stuck with whatever was the closest to what you liked.  These days, you don’t have near the selection since they aren’t made anymore so you’re limited to whatever your relatives saved from their dime store purchases back then.  So YouTube to the rescue.  I found a guide for how to bend them open and size them.  I got Julie’s granddaddy’s adjusted so I could wear it last week.

I fondly remember my grandma Morey wearing these kind of watch bands too. I used to get her to let me wear it around the house, or on trips a bit.  My mom still has her last watch.

The welcome party…!

This is how George Milo greeted me the moment I showed up for work at Camp Jabez last week.  He’s a really cool orange core kitty.

Tony and Annie Oakley were already at my feet too.

That’s my girl❣️

Shooting a rented short barrel, suppressed, stabilizing brace pistol caliber carbine. I continued the extension of my birthday week (it’s becoming a birthday month, haha) with a free rental and shooting lane at a range near our church.  I won’t tell you that she beat me at half or more of the games we played (battle ship, 9-ball, etc…) What a great better half she is!!
