Here you can see the distance from the fender to the top for the wheel to get an idea how much flex you can get (and may need) to keep the wheels planted on the ground even though you're going over obstacles. Notice that the angle of the hood (left to right from the driver's perspective) is basically level with the horizon even thought the front passenger wheel is about 20" off the ground.
