Julie and I went down there last weekend for a date and fun. They have a huge log of cheese, the Big Cheese", hanging in the cheese cooler. Every 18 months, they lower it and cut off a chunk. This time, we managed to be there when they still had some pieces available for sale. I figured I better take the opportunity to give it a try. It is certainly a quite flavorful specimen! It's sharp enough it was making my lips go numb the first time I ate some along with dinner. You could smell it right through the wrapper for sure. It's pretty good. Provolone isn't a typical cheese and crackers type of cheese, but I am enjoying it nonetheless.
