My mom has always made a big deal out of birthdays. Here you can see us celebrating my dad. She always made/makes a cake for each of us. My grandma made the "Happy Birthday sign" that is hanging in the background and still comes out for every birthday these days. There are always smiles and memories to be had.
Even better, that kitchen is just a few feet from me as I sit here in the family room making this entry❣️We changed it around a bit, but it's nice to be able to stand or sit in the same spots as many of these pictures and reflect on good times new and old.
