You can see how much of the project was done before being abandoned…
It looks like it was going to be a nice place. I was standing on a piece of grass while taking this shot and out of nowhere, a security guard comes and starts yelling at me. Turns out, I wasn't allowed to stand in the grass. I moved to the sidewalk, one foot over, and he was happy and disappeared again. He was the only person I saw the entire time I was there.

Dinner with the fam
This is what 30 years of marriage gets you. Kids and smiles! :) We enjoyed a date night, and ended up inviting the boys along while their girls hung out together. It was a great time of smiles, catching up, laughing, and planning the logistics of our busy spring and summer of family trips.

It's a really pretty combination of them. It was a nice anniversary present!
Wedding fun then and now…
This past weekend marks 30 years ago to the day when my friends took me out for a wild night of pizza and pitchers (of root beer)! My more wild usher told some of the waitresses and they all gathered around for the shot in the upper left…
I was honored to be invited to Chris' bachelor party with his friends and dad EXACTLY 30 years later (upper right). We enjoyed burgers and bowling. I love the shot of Larry and Chris bowling together (lower left). Christopher was the last man standing as he rushed to finish his extra frames on the final game.
Interestingly my mom and dad were married 30 years before Julie and me. Maybe Chris and Cheyenne will keep the pattern going with their kids? ;)

A full pond is a happy pond…
It stays pretty full these days, but still has a slow leak. The good news is I've identified where the leak is happening. There is one more (I hope, only one more) field drain that I found. Now if I only knew a guy with a digger to help me fix it up…!? ;)

The Treasure Island Supper Club is over the top with its sixties decor, but the food was good. Andy and I had seafood omelets and Hannah enjoyed a burger. Their onion rings were yummy too!

I liked the way the lights were hitting the ground on the second floor.

The abandoned city projects in China
This wasn't far from Shanghai. It was an entire city complex project started, but never finished or occupied. I liked the way these ghostly stairs appeared to go nowhere…
