I have had these Vietnam era ammo boxes around my house ever since I was a kid. I kept one, and have sold two over the years. This is the last one I want to sell. While we were displaying it, a guy that worked on the A-10 warthogs brought around this piece of a barrel from the Vulcan cannon on one. It was a perfect fit in the Ammo box and would make a great display case. However, he said he would NEVER sell it…! I guess not, understandable. Regardless it was cool to sit around and talk with Vietnam vets who remembered these boxesbeing very prized items. The soldiers could build structures out of them, and the locals would construct coffins… 😢
