Everybody carries some tools and spare parts…

As I pulled into the parking lot ready to hit the trails for the third and last day, I noticed my brakes were mushy and I was spurting brake fluid… When I got out, I realized my caliper bolts had backed out and the caliper had fallen off.  That meant the piston had squirted out too… One of the club members had spare bolts, so we tried to put it back together again, but the typical damage to the seal meant it was leaking too much to work for very long.  So, now it was Shane's turn to save me.  We headed to the parts store and I changed out my caliper for a rebuilt one right there in the parking lot.  Good news is I had all the tools I needed. Other good news, I was able to catch up to the rest of the group and still enjoy the day.  Even better news, my brakes were better than before it happened and I made it safely home with my trailer.  Thanks to Jeremey for the spare parts, other David for help and advice, and Shane for the ride and extra pair of hands to get it back together and bleed the brakes.
