We had to teach various segments of the basic pistol class, learn the NRA approach to teaching and shoot this qualification. 45 feet, sixteen out of 20 rounds have to be in the circle and within a 6" group. I made it first try. One of only three out of the 14 instructor candidates who did. Mine was the Highest score on the first try too. I was trained well by Jeff and others.
It felt like a pretty long ways to get a 6" group. You couldn't really make out the whole target, I certainly had to concentrate.
It was fun to see all walks of life coming together to spend a weekend learning something new and supporting our values.
