I think Zoe wants some pie too… ;)

She's cute popping her beady little eyes over the door.

Ending the day with Mehaffies pie!

This could become my favorite gas station pretty easily!  Road Dog carries Boston Stoker (Highlander Grogg) coffee AND Maffies pies! I "had" to get a slice of cherry to share with Julie!

The angle at some point along the way…

Top: Shows the max in each direction for the day. 37° incline up and 39/31° left and right respectively.
Bottom: Shows me actually sitting there at 39° lean to the left. It gives you a little perspective for how far that looks, but doesn't do justice to what it FEELS like. ;)

Just another view of the mud and wilderness from this past weekend.

Stark and pretty all at the same time.  A tornado passed through here a while back, plus there is logging and gas mining going on.  It makes for an interesting combination in the look for the landscape.

Family reunion putt-putt at Young’s, 2006

See the flex from the other direction

Here you can see the distance from the fender to the top for the wheel to get an idea how much flex you can get (and may need) to keep the wheels planted on the ground even though you're going over obstacles.  Notice that the angle of the hood (left to right from the driver's perspective) is basically level with the horizon even thought the front passenger wheel is about 20" off the ground.

Nice variety and view

These trails give a good mix of woods, creeks, ruts, and hills.  This was the height of trip.  I parked on the stump to get a pic and Zoe popper her little head up!  This was a cool logging area with lots of places to play.  You can see how much the wheels can compress (called flex) up into the wheel well.  That’s why you need all the clearance above them when sitting flat and level.

A perfect day from off-roading in a Jeep!

Once the rain (and hail) blew through while we were driving to our trailhead, the sun came out, it was 60ยบ and so I took off the windows and the doors.  It made for a really nice, comfortable day!  You can see the tow strap is out in the back seat.  We've already had to winch the other guy twice.  That's expected though.  He's in an explorer with just a 1" lift and off-road tires.  So my job is to get him out when I get through and he doesn't.  Good practice and equipment test as there wasn't too much on the line this time.

Just getting started on the trail.

It was fun to organize a trip, plan out the route, and get us through it all safely.

I enjoy the country views on the way to the trails.

This is the little country church where we met up before hitting the mud.

Nice little cockpit setup for my Jeep.

I've got a solid mount for my comms radio (left by the side view mirror), incline meter (phone mount over the center console, also gives speed, compass, and altitude), GoPro (hanging below the rear view mirror), my off-road map software (Apple CarPlay in the center console).  It's all secured with mounting that keeps it in place in spite of the bouncing around on the trails.

And don't forget my co-pilot Zoe taking a nap so she's ready when it's her turn to drive. ❤️

Zoe needs lunch too…

She saw me packing for my day of off-roading (left).  A nice little low carb lunch on the go.  She looked worried about what she was going to eat on the trail, so I packed her a baggie too just in case we stayed out past dinner time. ❤️

Savannah’s decoration with her plants is awesome.

It's easy to see why the back porch is now called "the plant room", hahaha.

I like the J and S mugs on the kitchen shelf too.

Everybody “needs” a Rep in their collection?

I turned in my spare change jar and got enough to grab a used one of these BRS Replicants.  Blade Runner Systems is just one balisong that everyone seems to have and customize in their collection.  So I got this one with the alt blade, custom scales, and glowy spacers.  It's on the way to me in the mail.  This was one of the pictures the seller sent showing me the condition.

It's fun to share this hobby with my boys and buy and sell the different brands and models. Learning the tricks is fun to and keeps me "sharp" hahahaha.  Either sharp or bleeding ;)

Andy, Julie and I enjoyed a nice Easter service yesterday morning
