The end of the road…!

This was the final stop on our Great Ocean Road tour.  It was the perfect end to a wonderful day in Australia!  We crested the last hill into the parking area to see THIS view.  The sunset, the waves, the weather, the cliffs… It couldn't be more picturesque.  This ranks up at the top of my all time pictures and experiences while traveling.

Andy has this 28 pound piece of cement he uses to practice strengthening his climbing grip.  I managed to lift it a couple times with each hand.  I guess I can still run with the beasties a little bit? ;)

Taking a blogging break to celebrate Andy!

We've always enjoyed turning birthdays into celebration weekends or even weeks.  The tradition continues this week.  We had dinner Sunday with my family, dinner last night with Hannah and Andy, presents after, and even his work got in on the fun.  So I thought I would blog these late breaking pics since I am a couple weeks behind currently. Too many fun things going on in life I guess. ;)

Family fun celebrating Andy’s birthday!

A bunch of us met at Elsa's for dinner this weekend.  Here, Andy is putting out his candle (free fried ice cream) with his fingers of course.  I like how it lights up his thumbnail.  

It’s crazy that we don’t have any teenagers anymore!

Here is how he spent a good bit of the day yesterday, working in an attic running a vent.  I love this guy! He's always adding a little bit of laughter and fun to my day and pushes me to try new things and be a better dad too❣️

I needed to get a better view!

While I was on the cost of Australia, I decided I needed to get an arial view of the Twelve Apostles area.  This was before the days of camera drones, so I hired a tourist helicopter and off we went.  The view and the shots were worth it in my opinion!

Speaking of drones…

I liked the look of these hybrid gliders launching in the rain… Check out what Zipline is doing with delivering medical supplies via drone in remote areas.  Pretty cool stuff.

This is a crazy drone!

For some reason, Julie doesn't think I need it…?! I tend to agree.  Heck, the camera is half the price of the whole package.  I can't imagine risking flying something like this…. It would be cool to watch someone else (it takes two people actually) film with it.

My first look at the Twelve Apostles…

This was the final stop of our tour.  These rock formations sit just off the coast.  A few have collapsed, but the remaining ones stand proud and make for a beautiful scene!
