The sand was soft where I passed him. Since I was looking over my shoulder, instead of where I was going, I just about lost the bike right out from under me. I've heard, that's how he claims his victims…!
This was a sculpture one of their interesting neighbors made, but couldn't take with them when they moved to another house. Nobody knows exactly what it's supposed to be, but about half the people that go for a hike are never seen again…? ;)
