We were tasked with finding this clip (which is acceptable to be installed facing either side up. We also needed to confirm it was properly hooked in the grooves around the nut. The clip could be installed anywhere around the 360º of the bolt. We were restricted by other part features so we only had three to four inches for the camera, light and focus distance. This made the lighting less than optimal giving the clip edges very little distinction from the surrounding metal
But our pattern finding PatMax algorithm picked it right out and matched well enough to work under all these conditions and still tell the difference between the clip being fully engaged in the groove or not. You can see the green shading, along the clip showing our matching features.
