It was always nice to have a half day or so to see the sights when traveling internationally. It's your only chance to force yourself onto the new time zone. Just gut it out, stay up the rest of the day, and to something to keep from falling asleep. I road a boat down the river in Germany and hopped off at whatever looked interesting. This was a historical winery town.
