Janice had turned it into a "corner" remembering Steve. The folded paper is something Cody wrote about fond memories his Grampy. There are a couple other random pictures tucked around the frame and trim.
If you are standing there in person and look closely, you can see lipstick prints on the glass over Dad's lips.
