"This has to be one of my favorite photos of Dad! 😊. So here is Panda, then and now. He was obviously well loved! Reminds me of the old "skin horse" in The Velveteen Rabbit. Most of Panda's fur has been loved off. Grandma B. Gave him new eyes and he has multiple scars from where he needed stitches!! Maybe Granville the Groundhog took Panda's place. He must have gotten that for his 2nd birthday. There's a picture of him opening the box. The photo was processed in April, 1944."
It's fun to see the smile on his face and to think of our things that we've all loved throughout our childhood.
