While I was taking pictures of Jupiter, Andy asked me if he could use my camera. He was lying on his back watching the moon. Here is his version.

I rather like a half moon. You can see a lot more crater detail at the edge of the shadow. In machine vision we call that low angle lighting.

I don't know if this should be first day of senior year, first day of college, or just showing some summer initiative. At any rate, it's the same place I stood as I embarked on my college career. About a quarter inch more and he'll be six feet.

We enjoyed seeing Danny’s open house this weekend.

He called me all excited to say he's figured out how to calculate the surface area of his skin to see if he qualified for a clinical study. Pretty smart way to do it. That boy is such an engineer... Poor kid! Haha.
