It’s bittersweet…

We've had to announce we're closing our doors… All I can say is thanks to everyone I've associated with there.  Especially Jeff's family.

4th annual Jeff Pedro memorial

ALWAYS a good time with friends and adopted family❣️❣️ Quite the SimTrainer history sitting at that table with Jewels!

I know a guy…!

He's pictured on this "album". Points if you can even tell me what media is is that Julie's holding.  Also, gotta love the rest of the pic.  Julie's rocking Diamonds, gunpowder covered adorable hands, and camo.  What a babe❣️

You know you’ve had a good day at the range when…

…someone else has let you shoot all this rifle ammo! Fun shoot full auto!

Andy rippin’ it old school! Vietnam era standard issue. He rocks it!

My “helpers” aren’t helping much!

This was about as close as Zoe and Chloe got to helping me fill the stump holes back in.  They ALMOST pulled the cart around for me a little bit.  They were right up in my business and weren't satisfied until I piled some of the dirt and mulch ON them. Hahaha!

The dogs were posing for a shot…

They looked pretty cute sitting there watching me work in the year so I just "had" to post it…

The size of the grooves…

The stump grinder they used in our yard was impressive!  It dug out huge chunks of stump at a time.  The groves left by the teeth were an inch or more wide!

Itty Bitty is just a cute little thing…

Decided not to go out West

I realized there is plenty of wheeling and fun to do on this side of the country.  I'm content with "reasonable" driving distance and costs available in my "East coast wheeling" stomping grounds.

Moab and Sand Hollow was going to take too much time away from family, and just not worth the hassle and risk.  So, Julie and I are planning a vacation together instead.  Probably a flight out west to enjoy some of the cities and sites I've visited in my business travels through the years.  Stay tuned.

Subtle purple tones

John stuck in the sand

He was trying to jump out, haha.

John has fun with Savannah’s nephews!

They like him too!  This was part of Savannah's reporting on the fun of the week.

We got to see the Freedom Barn on the way home from the river

It's not far from our house.

John and Savannah on vacation with her parents

They drove to Myrtle Beach for a week.  This was a stop along the way that John thought was cool enough to share.  I agree. :)

Detailed night shot!

The clarity of the detail in these night shots is nice! It's awesome to be able to carry a phone in my pocket that is fast enough to freeze the flag in the breeze from a moving boat, and still have enough dynamic range to show the lights and the shadows with enough detail in the bricks, cables, etc.

The Reds and their sponsor

Hence the name, Great American Ballpark.

I thought the lighting made for a cool pic.  I also like that you can see the reference to the riverboat heritage of Cincinnati in the lower right foreground.

I was trying to capture the riverboat and Cincinnati in the same shot…

Since I was on the boat, this is the best I came up with.

This Cincinnati suspension bridge always makes for a good pic!

Are you getting tired of my Cincinnati skyline pics yet?

Just sit back and enjoy some of my second place contenders from our riverboat cruise.  This one shows the Montgomery Inn restaurant with it's two story panoramic dining room (on the river at the right side of the pic).

The dogs love “window” days as much as us!

We look forward to the spring and the fall weather when the temperatures prompt us to open all the windows and enjoy a nice breeze.  This is the dogs version of the same thing❣️ The cooler temperature allow them to bask in the sun and soak up their needed vitamins.  I always say, "The white dogs are visiting" They're normally brown and red looking selves seem to disappear when they lounge around exposing their soft white underbellies 🤪

THIS is Julie’s glass cicada I mentioned.

She got it from a booth at the Sauerkraut Festival. It's a really cool 3D mounting where you can see both sides of the cicada suspend there in the sun.

Sophie got this really cool pic of the bees

I guess they wanted a honey sample too. I wonder what they're thinking when they stumble across honey in the wild?  Is it like us when we find something cool we want lying abandoned along the road?  Do they panic thinking their hive leaked and they need to put it back in?

We got to pet bees at the Sauerkraut Festival

Just too cute❣️

Zoe and I were enjoying an evening meal on the back porch.  It was a perfect fall day we enjoyed while we watched the sun bathe the yard in warmth as it started to set.

Sophie thought I might like this shirt to go with my ice cream :)

This ice cream sounds kinda weird…

But it's actually pretty good.  It's a fall spiced flavor with the crackers adding a nice crunchy texture.  I also found these candy bars made up of the "chocolate chunk" Graeter's uses in some of their ice cream!

A fun cup of coffee from the festival.

I just had to take home a souvenir cup of sauerkraut 🤪

Sophie caught me taking a picture of the sauerkraut crowd…

How you know you’re getting authentic honeycomb :)

Sauerkraut pie anyone?

And the owners business card

The artwork from Julies glass cicada booth.

Sauerkraut brownies!

I decided to try a few different things than I've tried before at the Sauerkraut Festival.  These were great.  Chocolate fudge covers up anything. 🤪 The kraut added an interesting textural element.

Sauerkraut Festival time!

We visited it with Andy and Sophie.  Good food, nice weather, perfect little historical country town.

We enjoyed visiting Waynesville a week or so ago
