I met a friend for coffee last week and enjoyed this view

Now back to a cool picture of some of my balisong knives

Happy with my grouping

The military puts this thing in the anti-material category.  That's an another way to say it's used to stop vehicles… Putting that much energy into a 7" group at 200 yards would be an effective way to take out an engine block.

We all had a shooter’s smile after a chance behind this thing!

I especially loved the way just smiled and laughed after her first round. It’s cute how her hair poofed from the muzzle blast too❣️

This thing was a blast!

Using slo-mo video frame capture, I could get this cool shot from the video Andy recorded. :)

Somehow, Andy works his way into the Dragon’s mid-inning entertainment…!

They recently attended a work outing with Deaton and he got to play at one of the games between innings along with his co-worker.  Fun!

My knife case has a knife on it. ;)

We all enjoyed Emily’s cow-themed open house a week ago or so.

I especially liked the corn cobs and cow cupcakes!

Julie made some AWESOME low carb Reuben rolls!

She used cabbage as the wrapper.

Julie got me some free cheese with a kick!

The guy at Kroger saw her looking at this, and offered to give it to her to try and told her to give me a happy Father's Day with it.  It's good! Especially with pepperoni.

Coffee and honey comb, I am happy!

Julie’s kind of place…

…They had fans every several feet! Hahaha.

Julie and I hit the 2nd street market about a week ago.

She's been wanting to take me, but we always thought about it when it was too late after church on a Sunday afternoon.  So we planned ahead a little and got there when they opened on a Saturday.  It was great to sample all the vendors and find a little something that we each liked. :)

I hope nobody was looking…

Not sure why you'd want a window in your airplane bathroom, but… at least I was on the way home?! ;)

Toilet paper holders only a plumber could appreciate…

This was an interesting and different place for sure.

After the ropes, we headed to dinner in downtown Boston.

A funny thing to see on a high-ropes course…?

Julie and I saw lots of houses like this in Ireland back in the late nineties.  However, this was in an Irish historical park in the middle of my recent zip-line/high-ropes event near Boston.

Part of my success is just staying in shape…

1400 calories…. A normal day is 700 or so.  I doubled my normal day in only two hours of playing on the ropes.  I normally get ~40 minutes of exercise too.  I blew right by that at over 140 that day.  It's good to have a reserve of strength, determination and energy to call on when I need it.  The ropes were a blast too.  Glad I worked my way up to the higher levels.

Proof I was there…!

And since I'm writing about it now, I survived. :) It was fun to be able to measure up to the black diamond level and see all the youngsters unable to.  I'm happy/blessed to be in good health.

This one was crazy…

Those pieces of 4x4 are just hanging there from the ropes with a little peg sticking out to stand on.  Well, here we go…!

Just a little movement as you stepped onto this challenge…

I enjoyed the high-ropes course with some of my team a week ago…

This is looking back just after I had crossed this obstacle… The round pieces of wood were free to spin, especially when you stepped on them…!

Me hard at work in the middle of the afternoon…

We had a play hard event for my East region. There was a high-ropes course near our HQ.  for some reason, we opted for that… I really enjoyed it and pushed my limits for sure!  This was level three on the scale of five levels of difficulty they offered.

I like the retro-80’s hotel we use in Natick, Massachusetts.

They always have a little special something to make me feel at home.  I've been staying there since I first started going to Cognex for training back in the mid-90's!

Flying into a storm to land in Boston last week…

There was lightning all around so when we landed, we had to wait for the storm to end so they could send out the ground crew safely.

Great memories on my flight a week ago…

Here's the video and the modern day result!

Some snow-capped mountains from my travel last week.

I love this home school picnic sequence.

I'm glad I took time off work to enjoy these kind of moments with the fam❣️

That moment when you realize you left your earbuds at the hotel…

While walking into the airport an hour away… Lucky for me, one of my local colleagues was able to grab them and ship them to me.  They beat me home…

The golden hills of the Bay Area always make me smile.

Last week I was heading out on my cross-country flight and liked this view of the foothills.

I love it that the boys and I share several hobbies.

I'd much rather do things WITH them instead of just watch them do their thing❣️ I'm glad we started that back with Legos, yo-yo, Kendama, and now balisong.  Then there is also shooting sports, ATVs, tools, photography, eating, etc.  Lots in common and I love it and them!

I guess I convinced Julie to get behind the camera too

I can still remember us trying to get this one right.  It was fun hugging the boys :)

A great picture of Julie swimming

I can remember well the days of trying to fit the last bits of pool time in once school had started.  It was fun to meet her and the boys there after work and spend the evening relaxing, swimming, eating a delivery pizza, and laughing.

Somebody has to show these guys that the old dude can still compete! :)

Any time we get together for a meeting, we have to have one of our Play Hard events, of course.  We chose go carting for the west regional team.

The redwoods outside our office building in Cupertino

Last week I headed off to California

This was the walkway to one of our offices in San Jose.  It made for a nice view.  It always seems to be sunny and 70º there. :)

A perfect shot of motherhood!

Julie always enjoyed getting every last minute out of the pool with the boys.  I love the smile on her face as we were goofing around with the camera.
