“My 'Son-rise' this morning!”

Julie found this note to Janice's BSF group in her email folders.  It was written on 11/25/2019 which was two days before we got the news that she had a suspicious mass seen on a non-related test.

The picture is one of the "pretty" sunrises that she took.  Notice how the clouds are what make it pretty. :)

—————————————————

I got up way before the sunrise (well maybe not WAY before) but so far I have been disappointed in the normally GORGEOUS scene of the sun's appearing.

As I sat at our dining room table, with coffee in hand, waiting for the grand show, I was less than in awe as I soon realized what was lacking! CLOUDS! What makes for a grander display are the clouds seemingly in front of the rising sun!

As I thought about that, the study in Acts about 'trials' and 'testings' came to mind, and, how those 'trials' are opportunities for our faith in our God to be on display, the beauty of His grace in our lives through those very difficult 'trials'!

We don't want those clouds because we live in the moments of difficulties that can be very hard on us and others but we are failing to see how our unrelenting faith and trust in God being our LOVING Father is glorified through those testings that prove He IS FAITHFUL to us!!

You want more beauty in the Son-rise of your day? Embrace those 'clouds' as opportunities for Him to be on display through your faith and trust in His never-ending love for you!

1 Peter 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Living and loving freely

by His grace

through faith in Jesus Christ,

Janice Kubina
