Julie found this really cool memorial locket in her mom’s things.

It has a mirror with this tin-type picture infused behind the glass on one side, a lock of hair saved behind glass on the other, and what look like the initials MLP on the back. Janice was related to the Peay family, we are assuming it is one of them pictured. We will try to find out more info...

Johnny I decided to go on a spontaneous lunch trip this week. When we pulled out, we found ourselves following Andy and his boss to their next job. Of course, we had to call and harass them!

They spent the last two evenings in some form of play together. Cute to watch them each creep closer to the other. Wanting to play but skeptical of the other's intentions. ;)

Some of Johnny’s latest work for his photography class.

He figured out he could set up a lighting studio using the generous natural lighting of his two window bedroom. Depending on the time and type of day, he can get just the look he wants.

Isaac has a thing for older cameras!

He's been collecting them and figuring out how they work. He's even taken a film based photography class. It's crazy how many cameras some of our photography hobbyist parents and grandparents had tucked away... :). It's obvious that it runs in the family!

My sisters put together a nice meal and celebration by remembering all the things my mom used to make for us when we were kids.

My sisters and I sure enjoyed a brunch of laughter and memories with my mom.

The pancakes are as big as a pizza, and worth a try!

We decided to try Clifton Mill for brunch on my mom’s birthday.

It's such a cool little place.

And HERE is the whole tale of one of my mom’s best birthday presents ever...!

If you know anything about our family, you know we are weird, strange bunch that enjoys a good laugh...

You probably also know that my mom faithfully reads the obits EVERY morning!

So for her birthday, my sicko sisters conspired to write her obituary and give it as a GIFT! I think they had an idea how much Mom would enjoy it, but they may have under estimated! Mom listed it as one of the two best birthday presents ever and never stopped smiling for the whole day!

You'll have to read the obit to find out the other best present... ;)

I love you Mom, Happy birthday! I guess I will even claim my sisters and love them too?! 💖

I’m getting pretty good at cleaning out and organizing things...

This is the barn loft across the street. It is a nice solid structure. It just needs some siding and door beam repairs. Hopefully by cleaning it out, smoothing out the dirt, and spreading around some cayenne pepper , I can keep the groundhogs at bay...?

I made some upgrades to my man’s jewelry box...

Our respective cats are getting along better and better.

Itty Bitty and Pepper are both finding they can exist in the same realm without any fur flying. Pepper has actually been pretty cool with it since about the first 24 hours. Itty doesn't understand why everyone sees her as the interloper yet. ;)

Shadow LOVES to get on our laps. She’s gotten VERY insistent about it too. :)

She will jump up and just look at you until you make her a spot. If you don't, she will start reaching out with her paw where she wants to sit. If you don't move your stuff, she'll eventually just plop down on it.

She's making it a little difficult to type here...
