Testing out Group FaceTime...

Two phones and an iPad all looking at each other. :)

I nice ending to the day this week.

I finally got all the parts for our pond pump and finished the repairs. Compressor fan, enclosure fan, rebuild kit, air filter and starting capacitor. Its all back up and running fine again.

I have quite a following

The chickens have taken to following me out to the barn.  I’m not sure why.  I guess they’re just curious.

One good aspect of the lockdown...

You can still get discounted Easter candy. I bought this guy because he was too cute! At 75% off and $1.49, I couldn't resist!

Julie, Janice and I made it out for a treat of deep fried bologna sandwiches with sauerkraut!

SERIOUSLY yummy! Julie's mom even treated. She's eating with one hand and paying us with Apple Cash with the other. Haha. Modern times...

The boys have discovered that PVC pipe makes for great staff spinning tricks.

They’ve both been out practicing.  Good social isolation activities! :)

We enjoyed our seventh virtual service yesterday.

Something interesting is afoot here.

I’m using a mouse with my iPad...  And it works surprisingly well.  I still prefer the touch screen interface for most tasks though.

Hand crafted for me... Have to get through this somehow.

I think I look like a cross between a villain and a bird...

I did go to my local bank the other day. I arrived with a mask, a gun and a handwritten note asking for money... They smiled, handed me the money, and wished me well. I love the US! :)

Who agrees, this is way more important than hoarding toilet paper?!

Actually, It just happens to be the time of year when Graeters makes my favorite flavor. I have one of these as my monthly reward when I make forecast/quota for the month. Here's hoping the economy gets back on its feet later this year...

The end of the week. Bring on the weekend!

How do you fall asleep sitting up, and STAY that way...?!

Lots of practice, I guess!

We’re letting the Baby Bird out of the nest...

My mother in-law is going better so we are suspending our 24-7 attention for now. It's been fun getting extra time to hang with her. It culminated with this yummy cinnamon raisin toast for breakfast.

Glad she's recovered from the flu. Each week brings a new challenge. 🙏🏼

And THAT’s a nice way to end an evening...!

This is my son!

The boys and I ate dinner by the pond, last night. We enjoyed talking, skipping rocks, hunting for frogs, looking for turtles, and even a few skill toys.

The chickens have started following me to the barn.

That's quite the harem Big Green has.

This just spontaneously hatched in the house.

Julie had a cocoon she assumed was dead. It's been in the house for more than a year. Yesterday, she walked into he kitchen to see this guy hanging on the window screen. I guess it decided the nicer weather was a good time to emerge?!

I think Percy wants something... Probably my pizza!

Such a beautiful day and so much family in this picture!

Bell, house, tree, windmill! I have my bases covered!

Corona virus has even affected my blog...

We've been so busy and I've been out and about so little that all I have left in my blog album are the separators I used to help sort and decided what to blog when... I'll have to get out and find something good for today, I guess!

I Love these peeps!

Mark Walters and Armed American Radio TV

Mark has a pretty good perspective on rights, politics, and the world in general.

Andy and his colleagues are making a meme collection out of the message board at work!

The majority are Andy originals. A couple were contributed by the rest of the team (the ones with less "coloring", on the right).

My mom made a really great collage highlighting her mother’s life.

Steve and Janice had given her a grandma tree which I happen to live with now. I had giveM her photos of all 4 seasons of it when I moved back in. She was able to combine those with pictures of her mama over the years. These chronicle the seasons of her life, as a young girl, wife and mother, grandma, and one in her later years when she was nearing "home." We were all so special to her! She was a special lady and I miss her ❤️

I liked the colors and lighting resulting from the sun setting behind us.

Shadow hiding out while I watched our Easter services.

She crawled right up on my lap, and under my table. She looks a little freaked out in this pictures... ;)

Dad’s Buckeye tree.

Julie's mom bought her a Buckeye tree that we could plant in her dad's memory. We found a nice place out in the middle of the gardens and planted it this weekend. We added a mulberry tree too, in the same are.

Mini-me office setup...

In the new virtual world we're thrust into, we've had to come up with creative solutions to still be able to "interact" with customers. A couple web cams, some free shareware, and a little ingenuity and I'm able to chat through using out hardware complete with live show and tell. :)

Here I am walking through some of our new capabilities while showing how I can capture new images with the camera on my desk behind me.

Next I'll be trying out for the local weatherman gig.

We all celebrated our virtual Easter service yesterday.

Don't forget that Easter is still real though! Christ rose again and gives us new life and eternal hope!

It’s so easy to get bogged down hoping to catch a break or wishing your circumstances were different.

I know God gets us through times when it seems like nothing is going right and the world is crazy around us. And I know if sometimes seems trite, but I like the idea this cartoon gives... Life is also what you make out of it. It's sometimes hard to forget to make lemonade out of lemons. ;)

Outgrowing Easter baskets...

The kids weren't too concerned when we told them we might not make Easter baskets this year. It hasn't really been a priority since we had so much else going on. It didn't seem to make sense to make a special trip to the store either, given the whole Covid19 thing... So Andy brought us home some leftover cookies from work and we shared one pack of Peeps Julie bought me a week or two ago. #growingup. ;)

He is risen. He is risen indeed!

As you celebrate Easter today (close at home with your immediate family admits all the Corona restrictions) remember that Christ is the center, our life and our rock.

Finding ways to celebrate virtually...

The kids joined a bunch of their church friends online for an egg painting meet up yesterday. My mom even joined in sharing her creations with the rest of us. At least her eggs are following the social distancing protocol...

What fun we had celebrating Isaac’s birthday last night.

Desperate times call for FaceTime... We had my mom there for a little bit (upper left group), sang happy birthday (upper right), had a cutest cat competition (lower left) and had the most of us all in frame at once (lower right).

Johnny found a Kendamas...

A look into our “woods”.

Pretty petals!

Isn’t this the cutest little beasty?!

This style was always a favorite of my uncle Ralph’s. The one you can always have with you. I remember winning a bet that I couldn't hit a pop can at five paces. I seem to remember had ended up having to buy me lunch at Whitey's! ;)

2020-04-09

The moonrise has been spectacular for the last few nights.

I got to enjoy a little the night before last while making my way across the street.

Johnny calls this one Grass

He's gotten a lot of reactions that people think its cool.

Cricket’s revenge. “You take my mouse, I take your iPad!”😼

We woke up to Cricket (Mom K's cat) carrying around a little mouse in her mouth. Julie rescued it and let it go... Cricket was not amused and so later "took" Julie's iPad. Julie came up with the title for this pic as the excitement wore off and Cricket settled back down with her for a "truce". ;)
