The boys are busy winding coils for the crystal radios they're making.

That's the volume control capacitor laying on the table in front of Johnny.

A beautiful day at Young's

We had a nice time at Young's this afternoon, courtesy of work.

Andy was really slugging 'em. Even a few of the fast balls.

Happy AND Gilmore spent some time at the tees. ;)

Johnny and I tailgated yesterday.

Some of our vendors at work put the whole thing on. We had awesome ribs, pulled pork and brisket! We saw a great finish to the Michigan vs. State game and enjoyed hearing the stadium erupt during the OSU touchdowns. He's still talking about it this morning!

Fall!

"What are you lookin' at?"

I was photo-bombed by a turkey hen. Haha

Finally displaying a few of our own antiques. :)

What's behind door (knob) number 16?

We had to stop at a few antique shops, during the festival, yesterday. I thought this basket of doorknobs made a cool display/picture. I recognize that milk crate...!

A nice upgrade at work.

We've been renovating and it included new carpet and paint. Nice to have some colors.

The boys have been bugging me to let them try the soldering.

They've been learning about it in the electronics section of their science. So, we practice stranded and solid wire in both overlapping and twisted joints as well as copper pipe. We all decided we had a little fun. :)

Andy sees this string art at the potato festival...

But it's "too expensive" so he comes home and makes one himself compete with hanger and placement on his wall. All on his own!

This was my grandfather's music box

Nice view from our berm. ;)

Sometimes, one pepper just isn't enough. ;)

A picture of my grandfather's music box

We survived the first night in our recycled clubhouse.

We have one bunk bed (that's Andy on the right upper, my bed is below his), a bench/bed (Johnny is on that in the background of the picture, a table (old wire spool), a cabinet and counter top (from the old kitchen cabinet layout in the house) and two filing cabinets (not pictured-from when Valeo moved out of town). Quite the reuse project. The beds are made from dad's old sawhorses and the planks are from the First Baptist renovation in the late 70's... Heck, the trailer has even been recycled twice before (once as an anniversary present and the second time as a tool shed). The only thing I had to buy was the light.

The three of us enjoyed a cozy sleep to the sound of the rain on the roof last night. And now I have some proper room and organization taking shape in the barn.

New carpet, new paint, all I need is my furniture back.

If you've ever seen my office...

You know there was like 50 feet of vines hanging in it. They've grown from this planter that my boss gave me when I started there. Well, we've been remodeling and we decided it was time to cut the cord so to speak... So, here it is - all fixed up.

Friends...
