This is PART of the Barton Team Awana.

Andy had earlier practice. Quite a contribution!

I think I've seen this shirt before!

It's certainly his favorite. I think it's cute how kids (mine included) get stuck on certain clothes. Like Andy and his favorite sock... :)

All lined up for Spark's practice!

Typical snow piles in New England.

It was a cold and snowy trip.

I'm back now, though. Safe and sound. :)

The boys have been busy collecting hail stones...

Julie made ice spheres with them!

This is a great picture of Johnny!

It's such a great smile!

The Message

The Message, originally uploaded by FlickPics88.

I really like The Message translation of the Bible. It gives a fresh perspective to familiar passages. This was part of my reading today. The yellow highlights were some if the ones I liked.

Our society is so good at giving rewards to those who do the worst the best...

Now this is the way all airport shuttles should be decorated!

More parenting moments...

1. You know, it is amazing how fast time moves on and new milestones are reached in your kid's lives... Even the little things. This past weekend I was having the boys "help" me with the laundry room platform I was building. In the past, their help was limited to some increase in the humor/fun of the project and increasing the time it took to complete. I hoped they learned something in the process. Well, that all changed this weekend. They both managed to really help. At one point, they took a break and I realized how much work they were doing. They both worked on all aspects. Measuring, sawing, drilling, driving, clamping, etc. It was a fun time, and I learned something. Cherish the time you have. They'll be grown before you can blink.

2. I used to reign supreme in my family as the champion at first shooter person games. Nobody could touch me... That was until this weekend. Something clicked and all of a sudden Andy can routinely wipe the floor with me. If I'm lucky, he only beats me by a few points. On the unlucky games, he skunks me 200 to ZERO! He's a machine! I win maybe one out of ten. Well, at least he's having fun. I better be practicing some more...

This was the first fitting.

Not exactly a complimentary name... But, if the shoe fits... At least I KNOW the washer and dryer aren't going ANYWHERE!

I planned my laundry room base before I bought anything or made the first cut. I bought a box of 50 lag bolts. This is a picture of the leftovers. :)

How did Johnny take this picture...?

The Damage

THE DAMAGE OBAMA HAS DONE

By Dick Morris And Eileen McGann 02.15.2011

The mainstream media does not cover the full extent of the damage the Obama Administration has inflicted on this country. Even FoxNews often doesn’t have the time to go into sufficient depth to explain what is happening.

From our friend Ruth S. King comes a chart which all of us should read and absorb, sobering though it may be:
