Water garden innovation
The boys realized they could make a water fall out of an old watering can. They were thrilled by their "trick".

Benefits of no power
The only place that sells dry ice anymore is the ice cream store... And you CAN'T go to the ice cream store without carrying out ice cream! :)

HOT!!!
Wow, was it ever hot from this vantage point. You are looking at a 10 foot wide, one foot thick slab of steel being made... I couldn't stand here for more than a few minutes before I had to move and couldn't hold onto my camera any longer. The bridge over the steel is using torches which clamp onto the slab and ride along with it to cut the piece to length. Our gauges are on this line measuring the length and line speed. You can see the rest of my shots at:

Of course
Then they wanted me to "read them to sleep". I was happy to. What a fun night!

Trouble
I went inside the house for a second. When I came back, the boys had got into trouble. They'd dug a book out of the bag and were having fun reading to each other. They were all excited. A book from Grammy and Grampy Barton, read by the light of head lamps from them as well.

Waiting
We're waiting for the coals to die down enough to cooking marshmallows. It started to sprinkle, but we stayed dry and warm.

Johnnie's Carryout
We always pass this store on the way to church and Johnny always begs to stop there. Sooooo, tonight, in honor of the end of Awana, we finally stopped! They went shopping all on their own.
Big fun!

Rained out.
At the very end of the day it started to rain... The boys didn't care, they were dry!
Great day, good fun. I love my family!

Zoo Day
We are all at the zoo. A reward for being in the Science Fair. Nice to get in free! The boys are counting the length of their snakes they bought. Johnny's is 36, Andy's is 33. :)
Nice to be DONE with school for the summer!

The boys managed to talk the lady in front of them (in the picture) out of a dollar for each of them! Ha ha.

Browsing Comments, important hints
Most of the time, I put comments on my pictures. When I send the link out, I put a link to the set. If you click on a picture (one of the thumbnails), you should see something like this. If you click on the area I circled labeled 1, then you will go forward through the set. If you click on the area labeled 2, you will go backward. If you use this method rather than the slide show, you can see the comments in the area labeled 3 as shown in this picture. See all my latest pics from the park yesterday at:

I went to the park (Carriage Hill) by work on Monday for lunch. I didn't get very far since there were so many little creatures out for the nice weather. I'm not sure yet of the type of bird this is, but he was happily building a nest.

Waiting
Andy is waiting, just inside his room, for Johnny to come walking down the hall. Says he's going to, "Get him with my light saver". ;)

Family Robot Night!
Instead of family video night, we had family robot night. My friend, Rick, donated these outgrown toys to the Barton boy cause! They're a big hit from Andy's birthday. Thanks Rick!

Cool plane!
Laura and her family sent Andy a GREAT Lego set for his birthday. It took them a long time, he and Julie put it together today. It even has wings that sweep forward for "medium" and back for "speed" according to Andy.
Thanks Laura!

Dessert
After the boys happily devoured their "cow legs" (beef shanks) last night, Andy was happy to try and finish off his birthday cake. There's a bit left for tonight, so I guess he got full last night!
And by the way, Julie's beef shanks (24 hours of preparation) were one of the best meals I've ever eaten. Complete with green beans, carrots, gravy! Yum!!!!!! My newest favorite!
