He ran from Pulpit Rock to Pike's Peak to raise money in memory of a friend. 47 miles. He's crazier than me. That might be saying something!!!???

It was fun to see the updates from family and friends as the weekend progressed for Zac and Chloe. Sorry we missed it❣️ Looks like a pretty day, pretty bride, and handsome dude!

It's fun to harass and/or praise each other back and forth on our accomplishments or failures. This was a small exchange with one of our friends from the range. Hahahaha.

This is our favorite target to play with. Always leads to several competitions designed to each of our strengths and weaknesses. Eventually we both get a chance to claim victory over the other, hahaha.

An odd place to store my beans and spaghetti…

You might have a problem (we cured it by setting traps for a few days) if you find you hardware cases stuffed with things like this…?! We still find evidence of their exploits once in a while. It seems like every winter a couple mice find their way inside somewhere and cause a ruckus. It's kind of cute to think of a little mouse finding spaghetti and thinking, "This'll make a good snack latter, now I need to find a place to hide it!"

"Well, yes I can, hahaha. I'm just having lunch, I'll move on soon!"

I stumbled across this pic while sorting my albums and figured it was worth seeing. I think I posted a similar shot from when John and I were taking a break for lunch and he captured my terrible parking job. 🤪

I repainted my watch band.

I just used a bright orange paint pen. It sure brightened up the highlights. They're a closer match to the crown and face colors now too. :)

These wild strawberries are growing by the barn. Too bad they don't taste like anything. They are pretty at least.

You know you’re old when…

…they have to write your name with a typewriter…! These are all the families from the eighties that are still around (I joined the scene in 89 or 90). So many of them we've spent so much time serving, worshipping, and eating together over the years as we watched our own families grow.

We had beautiful weather for our lawn party!

I even entered a corn hold tournament with Ivan (we got knocked out in the first round…)!

Every church celebration needs good food!

City BBQ chicken is a good way to have exactly that!

75th anniversary celebration

We celebrated 75 years of Patterson Park Church last weekend. Complete with an old school big band, launch under the tent, and even support from the local first responders since we had sooooo many peeps from all over. The ambulance crew was headed by the guy that lives behind John and Savannah. Small world!

It's spiritually fulfilling to be part of an org that has sprouted so many ministries and missions over the years. Dayton Christian, Miami Valley Women's Center (Hope Rising), and countless mission field workers to name a few!
