It’s been fun seeing what Isaac is up to at college.

It's been a mix of through the eyes of his family, his team's and his own. :)

I got our cats to pose for Halloween… 🎃 👻

Actually, this was our cat calendar for the day.  My mom gave it to us for Christmas. It's a pretty cool picture.  A little scary too! Haha.

This is from way back when I first realized I could take macro pics with my first digital camera.

Orb weavers are both creepy, yet awesome… A good Halloween theme.

You’re too busy if you don’t have a minute and a half to watch our dog Zoe play with a cat toy…

Johnny and Savannah made it on their school’s socials again.

That's Savannah on the right and Johnny in the center.  Just the typical college clothes…!

This is one of our all time favorites of Julie’s mom and dad.

It's from summer 2000 and the picture Stefanie painted for her mom when Steve died.

A perfect meal to go with my high-rise, high-end hotel from my trip to Dallas.

I hoped I would be able to find one when I was in Dallas earlier this week!

I managed to eat at In-N-Out twice in the two days I was there. :)

I love how they were always goofing around with each other!

Steve or Janice or both would always put a smile on yours and each other's faces!

I am always willing to take a little drive or walk for In-N-Out Burger!

Our hotel was in the center of town (bed icon in the middle).  Luckily, I found lunch not too far away!

Zoe has discovered a new toy.

She doesn't know it's supposed to be for cats…

I’m back from my travels now…

…but this was me hitting the airport at 4:15am yesterday for a quick trip to Dallas, TX.

A good friend of mine just bought this house here in town.

He's been trying to buy some land where he could have a range, and a nice house.  I think he's accomplished his goal!  He can't wait to show it to me as soon as they get possession.

I remember when Julie’s dad surprised her mom with this car back in 2000

She came home from a trip and found it waiting for her.  He made her use the remote to find where he'd parked.  I think he pretended not to remember.  Haha.

Oh boy, the chickens have brought over their babies (who are teenagers now)…!

I like how they're just standing there on top of the cage like they own the place, haha!

Just for comparison, you can see my tools and techniques have change over the years.

This was the most recent fireworks I captured.  This was with Isaac in 2019. Better cameras, better tripod, and more practice. ;)

This was one of my first attempts at capturing fireworks digitally

Thunder Over Louisville in 2000.  They light up the whole bridge with fireworks while launching more fireworks from barges on the river.  Worth seeing!

Just a nice skyline view on the way home from Kentucky this past week.

Coincidence?!

How is it possible that I was sitting watching a YouTube video about this late 70's Impala and Facebook suggest the memory, at the bottom, at the same time…?! They're watching us! Haha.

This is from the good ole days when we used to go to Thunder Over Louisville…

Roughly a million people showed up every year to watch an air show all night and THEN the nation's best fireworks show every year!

Itty Bitty has been coming out to sit with me in the mornings.

She's still warming up to our routine and getting used to the dog being in the house too.  She currently sits at the foot of my chair, on the arm of it, or on the back.

I left my glove out in the yard overnight and it got snail trailed or slugged!

It’s the iridescent paths on the darker patch on the palm of the glove.

This was Josephine. Our cat from around the time we got married.

My mom likes to give the cats catnip toys at Christmas.  Josie also used to stalk the PlayStation and then freak out if we moved the wires… haha.

Do you recognize anyone in this post?!

Stefanie's a super model now… Or maybe just super woman! :)

I LOVE the colors we’re starting to see for fall this year!

THIS is what Julie did for fun during the winter of 2000!

You have to know how your car handles… ;)

This is what it looks like when a fog bank is rolling over you on a fall morning…

I like this picture that John took a few nights ago.

I like what he says about getting to use his camera for "recreational purposes".  Having been a professional photographer, I know the feeling.  You don't get enough time for that!

Murphy used to go crazy barking at this rubber lightbulb…!

Passing down a love of sushi!

Back in the late nineties, a friend of mine introduced me to sushi.  I've been a fan ever since and had sushi with that same friend just yesterday.  Johnny has ALWAYS liked sushi, but this weekend, Hannah, Andy and I decided to try a Japanese restaurant.  Andy dove right in with sushi and rolls and liked them!  He's ready to go back again.  It gets expensive quickly, so It's a special treat for sure, but it's fun to pass down some of my adventures, travel experiences, likes and traditions.

Andy and I got to watch one of Hannah’s swim meets in Louisville.

She’s in lane six here.  It was fun to hang out for food after!

We’ve made it to Christmas 1999 in my retro blog posts.

So here you go, a Christmas tree from 22 years ago. :)

Of course John and I had to try and outdo each other!

This was out fifty yard, 12" steel test…. I hit it on the first shot, Johnny got it on the second. :) We both still have some skills I guess.

John brought Savannah over for some fun on the range this weekend.

Julie made some chili for dinner too.  We had fun, laughter, good food and even a little ammo left over.

Somebody managed to capture one of my annual chair flips around Christmas many years ago…

For some reason, this often happened when I plopped down in the family room at Julie's parent's house…. It was usually good for a laugh or a photo opp…

We laid a good friend to rest this weekend…

Jeff will be missed.  He taught me to:
-Enjoy family
-Never be afraid to bring up my faith
-"Slow and easy press…!"

Julie cashed in on her gift from Laura!

They did pour paintings together and the results are awesome!

My dad and his first grandkid at Christmas from 22 years ago.

It was fun to see him as a grandpa.

And wouldn’t you know, I became the gopher…

My how the tables have turned!  It's good to see. ;)

This is a quick way to get the neighbors (Johnny) over asking what’s wrong, haha!

Our water heater decided it wanted to leak into the sump pump.  It was plenty old enough to require replacing so Andy "volunteered" to do it.

Johnny got home from school to see this our driveway and decided he better check it out. :)

It was fun to see Andy doing his work first hand.  He said he wouldn't charge extra unless I wanted to help!  He did let me use the pro-press machine.  Those are awesome!

A cute picture of our dog Murphy from Murphy, NC.

She's was a long, lanky beast!

Zoe and her antler. She likes to combine her toys.

At first she wasn’t quite sure about it since it would roll around and surprise her with movements of its own… haha

I really enjoy the views while I’m working around the property out here!

I was watering Julie's new pawpaw trees.

This was the same night at Marion’s.

I really like this picture, sitting next to my dad, smiling, enjoying family time and pizza.  It's nice to see that my hairline hasn't really changed over the last twenty years or so. ;)

We enjoyed some great food that was interesting and different.

The pickled onions were particularly good.  I liked that many of the dishes included sunny side up eggs. :)

Julie and I went on a Bolivian date last weekend.

I remember when we had fun surprising mom with a visit from Laura who lived out of town at the time…

We met at Marions.  Dad was in on it and got the biggest kick out of seeing mom so surprised!
