We even had a girlfriend enjoy the full camping/hammock/thunderstorm/monsoon experience!  We welcomed Jena to the mix this year. :)

We started a new family reunion tradition this year… Go Kart racing!

Hand-me-down drone fun with my second cousins.

It was fun to pull these off the shelf and see them enjoyed as much as my boys did at this age.  Caleb and Logan were all smiles!

Of course, Julie heard about it, quickly identified it, and told me I just HAD to bring it home for her.  By the time I did, it had already built a cocoon for itself.

I haven’t seen a cat play with a rubber ball like this before. Cute.

I guess that's what I get for being around them at the reunion!  Fun times.

Speaking of pranks, Sidney got me good!

Between the water puddle in my chair, the salt water in my bottle, and the added crickets I was left wondering what I had done to deserve THAT?!  She reminded me that I had touched her hair last year… I do kind of remember messing with her, haha.  That'll teach me.

We had a great weekend at the family reunion.

We enjoyed talking, laughing, playing games and watching the pranks unfold…

We found some cool antiques when cleaning out my in-law’s house.

This is an old double action, six shot .22 revolver that was Julie's Grandpa's (Steve's Dad).  It shoots very nicely and is in good condition.  I think it will find a nice place in my collection.

Time to sell the old mower.

I put it out at the street and sold it for a fair price in less than a week.  New and used stuff is hard to get right now, so anything in decent shape goes quickly.  It was fun to see a young couple get it and be excited about building their own compound together like we did.

It was time for an upgrade on Barton’s off the Range…

I went full commercial this time.  Same size deck, but more powerful and a much beefier construction.  We have more mowing and more work to do around the place these days, to the tools have to step up too. ;)

I was given a shakedown while on the road the other day…. Haha.

Even hawks need to dry out after the rain…

It's cool to have hawks around, but we don't like seeing them when we have all our released babies around…

I got to help teach another class while I was off last week.

I gave one of my knives to a friend (Julie) so I “had” to replace that one… :)

Julie and I also managed to make some time for a shooting competition.

It's nice to have a partner shoot with.  We can "caddy" for each other.  Julie loaded up the extra mags I needed, while I was shooting my first course of fire.  Of course, I returned the favor. :)

I did a little maintenance on my shooting steels while I was off last week.
