Snarffles likes to run all over us like we’re trees!

I spent my extra day off this week working on a little upgrade for my new trailer.

I used a bunch of hardware my dad had saved away for trailers, recycled the plywood from my great grandfather's trailer, re-used left over 2x4 and 4x4 pieces from other projects and got it to be setup just like I wanted. I ended up only having to buy the handles, two 2x4s and two of the 2x4 brackets.

Now I have removable sides including a custom extension to accommodate the folding gate, and can even swap between a jack foot and jack wheel.

Now the hauling begins. ;)

Pepper has such long legs they have to hang over my lap AND the chair.

It's like she doesn't even know where to put them sometime. Haha.

Snarffles enjoys finding a spot to hide inside my jacket.

You can see he will pop his head out to say hello sometime. :)

Johnny finally got his camera for school.

Now he and I will be able to enjoy walking around and taking some pictures together.

Pepper says, “Stop cleaning the kitchen and PAY ATTENTION TO ME!”

She has the perfect look on her face while she says it too!

I enjoyed the tiny sliver of a moon during the sunset a few days ago.

This was my last chance to get served by Johnny at Big boy.

I will miss stopping buy every once in a while for the cherry flavored Mellow Yellows... He's moving on to Aldi. For now, the table waiting industry has just been turned too upside down...

“The council interrogates the fork”

The boys and I enjoyed lunch with friends after church Sunday. This show you never quite know what to expect with people like us...!

Heading off to his first in-person day of “official” college.

Between Sinclair and remotes classes, Johnny has managed to get more than a half year under his belt before the "first day". Well done!

Two proud parents! :)

Andy and I enjoyed a nice sunset this weekend.

May God open our eyes to see Him, whether in temptations, trials, dangers, or misfortunes.

Now my watch gives me a thumbs up when it gets all up in my business. ;)

While having my quiet time, this cardinal decided to pay a visit.

He wanted to grab a bite at the feeder, but was unsure because of my presence. He overcame those fears and eventually got his snack.

I just happened to find this in the bottom of an old crate of my grandpa’s

I am guessing he was using this to practice his band saw when he first got it.

Julie with a squirrel sleeping on her neck... So cute, both of them.

See what I mean, it’s worth the work. :)

My neighbor let Julie and me run around on his wooded trails this weekend. In return I helped with some of the clearing to keep them passable.

Here, I am having fun crossing and stopping in the creek bed. The water isn't exactly running this time of year, but there was some on either side of the crossing.

Julie hit a rut while crossing and didn't like the way it lurched. I shouldn't have have suggested she try until she was a little more comfortable with our new toy.

Even better than a cookie... A cookie cookie!

My sister got me these cookies and this butter made out of the same cookies. I decided to put them together!

I was just enjoying the sunrise across the street before starting a day of working around the properties.

The work is worth the enjoyment. ;)

A beautiful end to the day this week!

Well, my sisters successfully saw two of their boys off to college this weekend!

Johnny starts in person classes Tuesday after meeting on-line over the summer.

We wish you guys well and will be praying for you each step of the way.

Nothing like a little ball of food coma after hand feeding your squirrel!

We have some great kids in our family.

We're praying for all of them as some of them embark on their college careers. Ian and Zac are moving out of state this weekend and Johnny starts in-person classes in Dayton, next week too. He's already got more than a semester under his belt from summer and CCP classes. Ian starts as a Sophomore from CCP too!

It sure is fun watching them on their adventures. Looking forward to seeing what God and the future holds for each of them in their lives.

Highlights from the Waynesville rodeo this past weekend.

Silly little fancy cat.

Pepper sometimes jumps up on my shoulders and snuggles up against my head. She'll sit there as long as I let her, or until she slides off if I stand too upright. She often lovingly headbutts me a couple times before she lays down too.

We invented a new family game. Mallowball.

The kids were messing around outside and we start hearing the thump of a bat on a softball. We go out to find they have adapted baseball to the back yard by playing with oversized marshmallows! It's the same as baseball except you can't stop when running the bases, there aren't any teams, and you just rotate through all the positions while waiting for your turn at bat.

Of course, Larry and I had to join in. He even created a ladder to retrieve the "ball". Eventually he even added a backstop. You can see the "ball" incoming in both of these pictures.

I fashioned a little coupler adapter for my ATV

Now I can pull around my garden carts AND my trailer without having to switch anything out.

So much silly fun hanging out with my family.

At the last minute, Andy and I decided to go see the Waynesville rodeo.

It's always good for fun, laughs, and a little excitement.

A nice Friday morning, hometown breakfast for my boys and me.

It was a maiden voyage for my trailer this weekend.

I needed to have some work done on my mower, so off we went. It sure is a nice setup!

Andy decided to see how the catfish were going in our pond.

We had to hunt for a worm to use. He caught one that was about 11" long. Just checking. ;)
I love the peaceful view.

I’ve learned not to ask questions...

...like why are there a bunch of broken sticks randomly stabbed into the yard...?!

Nothing like a ball of squirrel to make your day brighter...

I’ve seen a decent number of these monster flies around this year.

He's sitting on a 3/4" wide board. Pretty good size as flies go.

Payoff for doing my best to teach a whole family how to drive a stick shift.

I will work for food! It was fun to hand out with my sis and nephews. We had a few laughs and even a few smooth starts.

I got a chance to drive by the Kentucky Speedway earlier this week.

It looks like there are a lot of "fans" in the stands... ;)

Ian and Isaac worked together to pull off some epic pics along their journey!

These are two that I really liked. Too many to highlight them all!
