I took the kids to the gun show, this weekend.

Johnny picked a random scope to look through, while it was lying on the table. Funny thing, this is the view he saw without touching anything! That happens to be his DAD in the cross-hairs! Haha.

She listened to ALL his analysis of Kendama. Her name is Rachel, she's one of Alex's To-Shin Do friends.

We all got to watch Alex receive his black belt. It takes about three years. He accomplished it in about two and a half. We all gathered at Marion's afterward for fun and goofiness! The boys added Olivia and Rachel to their friend group.

Andy has handgun two under his belt now.

Julie gets to teach Andy

I took Johnny through Handgun 1-5. As a Christmas present for Julie, I signed Andy up so she could go through them with him. So far so good. Here he is practicing his drills.

I bet Andy he couldn’t learn the trick called tight rope...

That was a mistake. Here, we're using slo-mo video evidence to prove he got the required 0.60 seconds. He made it, exactly!

He's slowly getting better and better. You have to balance the tip of the spike, on the string. He's using a customized Kendama to learn it. He'll get there...! :)

Julie’s schooling days... She’s taking good notes. She calls them her Magnum Opus. Haha.

"Magnum Opus Vol 1 on the left. Magnum Opus Vol 2, in progress in the middle. Spreadsheet with table of contents on my iPad. Scratch pad on the right. I just had to look something up that was from day 19 of this school year, but had no idea, off the top of my mind, when we had studied it. Looked it up in my table of contents, turned right to the page in my Magnum Opus with the instructions I needed. Satisfying!☺️"

This is a design he drew up. It uses three types of liquid ammo. Not a bad idea... ;)

He's been applying the graphic arts skills he's learning in school.

Not sufficient in my house.

I can buy any gun I want as long as every other one is her gun! :)

Our cars might finally be getting broken in. Winter is finally here.

Check out how the rubber mold stems were all freezing... I also like the reflection of the tread pattern below them.

Found a cool, neighborhood barn to shoot, yesterday.

I've driven past it hundreds of times, and had no idea it looked so cool, on the back side.

Andy designed a kendama holder for he and I to build.

You can buy them, that hold five, for around $20. We made this one with $10 spent at Lowes. It was a fun little Saturday night project for both of us:)

It just fits, behind his door. Perfect.

My father in-law bought two of these mobile phone lenses for he and I to try.

The lens is in the top right. The two bottom pictures and the two upper left pictures show my first two tries. The wider shots are the scene without the lens, the zoomed in shots are the same scene with the lens on and my phone in optical 2x mode.

Not too bad. I think they were something like $19 each.
