Time to get away and just hang out! I love the spirit and enthusiasm with which he approaches life. I love him!

What a thoughtful son!!

Johnny knows how long and hard I (Julie) have been working this school year to get a handle on both Algebra 2 and Physics. He keeps telling how grateful he is for all he work I’m putting in. Tonight he brought me flowers and dark chocolate covered salted caramels to show his love and appreciation. Thank you Johnny! You made my day! What an awesome kid I have! I don’t know how I’ve managed to have two of the best kids I’ve ever known, but I am grateful that God has blessed me with them.

You can tell the kids are getting older. The parties are devolving into feats of strength competitions. We had pull-ups, free-hangs, and front flips - all in the same night and right after dinner and cupcakes...!

We all enjoyed hanging out in my sister’s back yard, for Ian’s 16th Birthday.

Any time you have a trampoline, fire, and clubhouse, it's bound to be fun!

In our travels, Johnny has noted it's hard to find bathrooms where the sink, soap and towels are ALL automatic. Well I found one where all three, PLUS the toilet, were. Of course, it was a robotics automation company! :)

I have to give a shout-out to my awesome wife!

She is working really hard as the kids are firmly entrenched in the increasing complexities of their science and math curriculum! She is delving into the lessons, taking notes (which are meticulous and beautiful, by the way), understanding them, and making sure she can communicate the concepts and provide appropriate help for the boys.

It's so fun to walk into the school room and hear them debating the finer points of complex numbers, conservation of momentum and the consequences of approaching infinity... Haha.

On top of all that, she manages to find parts of it to enjoy!? It just so happens to be the parts I didn't like and/or never felt I grasped properly!!!

It's a lot of frustration but her dedication and love shines through. It's a blessing to have such a great life-long friend and partner!

The morning glow

Even though I was running late, I had to stop on the way down the driveway. I wanted to find a way to capture the sun's rays passing through the trees and fog. I think I found a decent angle. It sure was beautiful.

He's developing a jewel pusher for AWANA. A few steps left, but it seems to be working out. Quite a resourceful bright kid!

Andy’s unicycle experience!

That’s my boy! Determined little devil.

He decided he wanted to learn to unicycle. He found a friend, at church, to loan him one. Then he tried until he got it working. All of thirty minutes, to this point. I walk in to see someone riding a unicycle around, in the gym, and realize it's Andy!

We enjoyed the potato festival, this weekend.

We almost finished before the rain. And yes, Andy figured out how to keep his funnel cake dry and eat it at the same time... Is that having your cake and eating it too? :)
