The dangers of dating...

This picture was taken the weekend before Julie and I started dating. Of the five cousins pictured, four ended up marrying the people they dated at this age range. So, be careful who you're dating a year or two after high school! ;)

Our view from atop the Smokey foothills in Murphy, NC.  The boys and I hiked (crawled) to the top in the national forest bordering what used to be Julie's Grandparent's property.  They built the red roof house you can see in the lower left corner of the picture.  

We had the privilege of visiting, this past weekend, to let the boys see it.  It just happened to be in the path of totality, so we enjoyed the Eclipse too.

Julie always wanted some plants from her grandma's house.

So we brought back some ferns and tulip trees. Now we have trees for two grandmas! :)

Look what we dragged back from Murphy NC, this weekend.

This is only partly as beautiful as we saw during the two minutes of totality. Right up there at the top of my list of the coolest things I have ever seen! God's amazing nature!
