Have you ever seen the shadow of a whirlpool?

This is our pond overflow outlet that I plugged earlier in the year in hopes of getting another foot of water. The good news is, we now have a nicely full pond at just under 9 feet deep. The bad news is I had to drill a couple holes in the top of the plug to keep the water from overflowing the dam. It just seemed wrong to let any water out! ;)

Julie has been nominated the best mom ever!

She not only found, but also caught Andy a new garter snake (with her bare hands) to replace his that died a while back. She caught it out in the field and carried it all the way back to the house. What a country girl she's turned out to be!

Andy thoroughly enjoyed his robotic programming class this week!

He earned it with the effort he brought in the second half of school this year.

Johnny is progressing well. He's excited to join our weekly competition league.

He did a good job too! The leftovers were even good for breakfast. :)

Andy liked the pant leg guard that I used, so I gave him an extra one I had.

These were actually my grandfather's that he used with his bike he bought when he was a teenager. They make me remember him each time I use them. Andy will value it too.

Johnny has discovered that he can enjoy building muscles and working up a good sweat!

Now if I can just direct him to splitting the wood too...! ;)
