I had fun rebuilding the fan I inherited from my grandfather.

It needed new bearings and a belt. It's a whole house fan by Hunter, from the 50's or so.

I really enjoy building these Technic sets with the boys

Andy and I were working on my formula one racer this past weekend. It's almost finished.

Johnny came home from camp all excited because he'd figured out how to solve his Pyramid.

He made a friend with a fellow cuber leader in the process.

Andy loved the snake! It was a long skinny tarp they pulled behind a tractor trying to shake off anyone who dared to jump on. Sometimes, your face would connect with the boot of a girl in front of you... You were bitten by the snake. Haha. Andy wears his wound proudly and maybe even happily. ;)

I love the little "pieces" of Andy you can glimpse as he wrote each letter. :)

Here is Johnny on his horseback ride. He loved it!

He said the only bad part was when the one in front of him had to answer the call of nature! He said it was an awful thing to have to watch from such close proximity!

I love the look on his face here. You can tell he thoroughly enjoying the ride!

Fun for all. The boys made it into the highlight reel. :)

They made it back safe and sound and smiling from their weekend trip. Andy was only bitten by the snake once... ;)

We've been having fun pegging the boys, via webcam, during their trip! :)

It's fun to recognize their uniqueness and see them having fun.

I don't think I'm ready to send the kids anywhere yet. They're packing the bus, so I better get used to the idea. :)

They're off to their winter retreat. They both earned the right this year with school effort and performance.

We found these auto manufacturer badges (the whole 31 piece set) in the attic. My dad had saved up box tops from Wheaties in 1954 and sent away for them. They are 3 sets of 10 (American, UK, and European). If you sent away all at once you got the bonus Rolls Royce to make 31 total badges.

The first set of questions in my tax software, this year, lead to this...

It was complete with miniature everything from corn on the cob to cups and silverware to cakes. Even the buffet was downsized. We called it the "mini-bar".
