Reading

Reading, originally uploaded by FlickPics88.

I'm sitting here reading, I look up and see Andy playing video games, but Johnny's reading John. He just exclaimed that he read "the part they read during our last communion".

Awesome! He says he's read all of John 3, now.

Suit from us, Bible from Andy. :)

John just jumped up and ran to his room to try on his new clothes! Sharp guy!

The sun sets on another year.

Will you glorify God this coming year?

Quake?

I'm sitting here at my computer this morning...  and my whole chair just kind of shifted, I sensed a rumble for a second, then it stopped...  What was that!?  Wow, something happened...  Was that a tremor?

Progress?

When Republicans take over the House next week, they will do something that apparently has never been done before in the chamber's 221-year history:  They will read the Constitution aloud.
And then they will require that every new bill contain a statement by the lawmaker who wrote it citing the constitutional authority to enact the proposed legislation. Call it the tea party-ization of Congress.
"It appears that the Republicans have been listening," said Jeff Luecke, a sales supervisor and tea party organizer in Dubuque, Iowa. "We're so far away from our founding principles that, absolutely, this is the very, very tip of the iceberg. We need to talk about and learn about the Constitution daily."
These are two standout changes on a long list of new rules Republicans will institute in the House when they assume the majority on Jan. 5. After handing out pocket-size Constitutions at rallies, after studying the document article by article and after demanding that Washington return to its founding principles, tea party activists have something new to applaud. A pillar of their grass-roots movement will become a staple in the bureaucracy that governs Congress.
"On November 2nd, voters called for an end to reckless spending and a renewed commitment to the Constitution," said Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), a tea party favorite. "These new rules show that Republicans are serious about respecting the Constitution."

How can we stop the backdoor destruction of our country!!!???

After Record Blizzard, White House Vows to Push Global Warming Policy

After failing to get climate-change legislation through Congress, the Obama administration plans on pushing through its environmental policies through other means, and Republicans are ready to put up a fight.
On Jan. 2, new carbon emissions limits will be put forward as the Environmental Protection Agency prepares regulations that would force companies to get permits to release greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act.
Critics say the new rules are a backdoor effort to enact the president's agenda on global warming without the support of Congress, and would hurt the economy and put jobs in jeopardy by forcing companies to pay for expensive new equipment.

------------------------------------------------------------------
Let me get this right, they are adding death panels that congress didn't approve, the czar appointments lacked any congressional oversight, congress didn't approve his environmental policies yet still they come, net neutrality didn't pass congress yet we here it comes, he gave the unions majority ownership of Chrysler and the biggest stake of GM...  When will it end?  I have news for you, it won't and there is a clear means to an end here.  It isn't silliness, it is VERY smart...

The Tiniest little drill, on the weakest setting...

I wanted 2 new batteries, for my drill, for Christmas. The problem is they cost as much as a new drill. So, Julie got me just that. It's a tiny little thing. But it drives this 3" deck screw into a treated 4x4 without even trying. And this was on the low power (high speed) setting. Awesome! Great choice babe!
